NOR Flash memory integrates safety features for automotive and industrial systems

The Cypress Semiconductor, SPI NOR 512Mbit Flash Memory Chip, 16-Pin is available now from RS Components. The memory is a non-volatile storage solution that combines safety features for automotive and industrial systems. The EnduraFlex Architecture offers partition memory to provide up to 25-years data retention and more than one million program/erase cycles endurance. The device is JEDEC xSPI compatible, offers Data Integrity Check and Interface CRC. The device is certified ISO 26262 ASIL B Compliant, and ISO 26262 ASIL-D ready.

The device specifications comprise 512Mbit memory, with SPI interface and maximum operating supply voltage of 3V.

Typical applications include automotive instrument clusters, ADAS, and networking communications.
