C&K has improved its tactile switch products to incorporate a low sound, long travel and positive tactile feedback version. The Tact Low Sound (TLS) Series offers advanced haptic communication with ultra-soft feedback that can be customised to meet vehicle interior demands.
This compact switch with J leads provides engineers with the flexibility to decrease the size of the PCB, or add functionality to the design. The IP54 sealed switch gives protection against dust, liquid and humidity. Rated to 500K cycles, the series assures high reliability and long-life performance.
The switch is offered in two versions; the STD model delivers 50% tactile feeling with 0.9mm travel and an actuation force of 4, 7 or 10N. The low tactile version provides 30% tactile feeling while other aspects remain the same. The pre-travel provides easy integration by compensating tolerances of other components incorporated in the application.
"C&K continues to expand our soft feedback tactile switch family to meet customer requests. The TLS Series features the low sound and soft feedback for vehicle interiors requirements all in a compact, long-lasting design," said Régis Clément, global product manager at C&K.
The series is commonly designed into vehicle consoles, panels, steering wheels, window lifters, paddles, seat adjusters, and other in-cabin applications.
