Programmable controller supports data collection and M2M communication

The Omron CP2E series compact PLC is a network type featuring 18DI, 12DO, Relay output, Power supply 24VDC, and 10k Step Program memory. The device is available now from RS Components.

The device offers two built-in Ethernet ports with Ethernet switching function and is ready for machine to machine communication (CP2E-N-type); up to three serial ports provide open connectivity to serial devices (CP2E-N-type); and four-axis positioning function with linear interpolation (CP2E-N-type).

The device provides battery-free operation, and back ups to reduce maintenance; function blocks and structured text improve programming efficiency. Operating temperature range from -20C to 60C for reliable use in special applications; and input/output terminal LED indicators for quick troubleshooting.
