Ruggedised capacitors for energy harvesting applications

The Vishay 235 EDLC series, available now from RS Components are polarised energy storage capacitor with high capacity and energy density. The devices are designed for power backup and storage devices for energy harvesting applications.

The polarised energy storage capacitor has a rated voltage 3V, available in through-hole (radial) version, with a useful life up to 2000h at 85C. Ruggedised for high humidity operation, the devices offer rapid charge and discharge, maintenance-free, with no service necessary and is AEC-Q200 qualified.

Typical applications include power backup, burst power support, a storage device for energy harvesting, micro UPS power source, and energy recovery.
