DC-DC converter for medical and industrial applications

TRACO Power’s new 1W, TRV 1M series of High Isolation DC-DC Converters is supplied in a compact SIP-9 package providing 5kVAC I/O isolation with reinforced insulation for medical and industrial applications.

The series comprises of 28 models offering a choice of 4.5-5, 9.6-14.4, 12-18 and 19.2-28.8 Vin ranges, and single/dual outputs from 3.3V-15V. With continuous short circuit protection and low leakage current of less than 2µA, these converters are particularly ideal for protecting any connected interfaces or applied parts to patients. The devices provide semi-regulated outputs, -40C to +85C operating temperature with no derating and certifications according to IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 3rd ed. for 2xMOPP and IEC/EN/UL 62368-1.

This series is ideal for many different applications where high isolation and reinforced insulation with short circuit protection is critical such as medical isolation systems, and short circuit protection demands.
