Analog Devices DC2840A Demonstration Circuit highlights the LT8365 in a Boost inverting configuration. The Low IQ Boost/SEPIC/Inverting Converters provide a 1.5A, 150V switch running from a 2.8V to 60V input. The converters possess a unique single feedback pin architecture able to offer boost, SEPIC, or inverting configurations. The device can be employed for different topologies with input voltages up to 60V. However, the Demonstration Circuit component selection restricts the input voltage to 30V.

The demo board comprises an optional third charge pump stage for applications demanding higher output voltages. The board runs with a switching frequency of 400kHz and is intended to convert a 9V to 30V source to −250V, with 10mA output current.

The circuit comprises a selectable jumper, JP1, to assist in the selection of the desired Sync pin mode of operation. The default setting is a Burst Mode operation. This layout is optimised for good EMI performance and small solution size. Input and output filters are required for CISPR 25 Class 5 emissions.
