The new Gecko-MT range from Harwin combines the 1.25mm pitch Gecko signal connector system with mixed technology layouts, adding 10A power contacts to its range. The connectors are available now from TTI Europe.
Claimed to be the smallest and lightest mixed-layout connector available for high-performance applications, the device is an excellent choice when SWaP matters most (increasing miniaturisation, decreasing weight, add or improving power options, and either lowering cost or getting the best possible value for money.
Featuring board-to-board, cable-to-board, and cable-to-cable options, the initial launch comprises pin-layouts of 1+8+1 or 2+8+2 contact configurations.
Stainless steel jackscrews are offered in standard or reverse-fix, assuring secure connection, and lightweight metal hoods provide extra cable protection and shielding.
Typical applications include UAVs, motorsport, CubeSats, avionics, and oil and gas.
