Extended frequency range increases N-type connector performance

Amphenol RF has expanded its popular N-Type connector product series. Newly enhanced panel mount and semi-rigid cable mount configurations are intended to reach an extended frequency range of 18GHz, giving them a performance advantage over conventional N-Type connectors which function up to 11GHz. Their one-piece design, coupled with a special albaloy plating, make them an excellent interconnect solution for applications where low PIM demands are needed.

These connectors provide better design possibilities while offering the familiar threaded coupling mechanism and robust, medium-size interface engineers are used to. The extended frequency range makes this connector an excellent fit for applications that need durability and increased data transfer rates. Extra features include low VSWR and insertion loss, high power handling and ruggedised construction.

These interconnects are completely interchangeable with N-Type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. They are excellent for employment in systems where reliable RF and mechanical performance is critical such as wireless infrastructure, defence and industrial applications.
