Three-axis digital vibration sensor provides high performance

The STMicroelectronics three-axis digital vibration sensor with low noise over an ultra-wide bandwidth. The device is now available from RS Components.

The sensor has a flat frequency range. It offers high performance delivered at low power consumption together with the digital output and the embedded digital features like the FIFO. The device employs selectable full-scale acceleration range of ±2/±4/±8/±16g, and it can measure acceleration with a bandwidth up to 6kHz with an output data rate of 26.7kHz.

The sensor has a supply voltage between 2.1V to 3.6V. It has a low-pass or high-pass filter with selectable cut-off frequency. It offers embedded self-test and has an SPI serial interface.
