AC and DC leakage current sensor provides high-sensitivity

KEMET's FG-R05-3A sensor, available now from TTI Europe, is a high-sensitivity AC and DC leakage current sensor with individual open-drain alarms and an analog output for leakage current indication. Also, its integrated test coil can be initiated by a test input to conduct a functional alarm test.

The sensor is the first component of a series to be released to comply with the specified standard (IEC 62752:2016). In addition to the existing module, other form factors will become available until the end of 2020 to support various mechanical situations in AC wall chargers and in cable chargers.

Typical applications include in-cable control and protection devices and wall boxes.
