Metcase has introduced new, improved Unicase aluminium instrument enclosures which are now even quicker to assemble – due to the redesigned chassis profiles and a new assembly tool (offered as an accessory).
These universal enclosures are ideal a broad range of applications including measuring and control, peripheral devices and interfaces, feedback control, modems, switch boxes, medical and laboratory technology.
The new extruded chassis profiles hold the blue slide-in threaded nut holders in exact vertical alignment – making it simpler to locate top and base cover screws.
The new assembly tool moves the blue threaded nut holders into exactly the correct horizontal position in the profiles. This aligns them exactly with the top and base cover assembly screws each time. There are four screws on each side, so the advancements speed up assembly times greatly. The new assembly tool is ergonomically contoured, so it is comfortable to hold. It is 3D printed from white PA 2200.
The enclosures are offered in ten standard sizes (130mm x 180mm x 50mm to 474mm x 300mm x 134.5mm) and two standard colours: light grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). Accessories include the new assembly tool and alternative cover/panel fixings screws (M3, PZ1, zinc coated, 6mm).
