Automotive gate drivers for advanced 48V battery systems

Allegro MicroSystems now offers the industry’s largest portfolio of 80V motor drivers for advanced 48V automotive systems. The company's 48V products address the crucial demand for flexible and reliable solutions in EVs. The new suite of fully integrated gate drivers provides optimised architecture and performance directly impacting vehicle weight, battery and fuel efficiency, and driver safety.

The new gate drivers are prepared to serve any load configuration from half bridge with independent high-side and low-side outputs to three-phase BLDC control. Created on a high-voltage process node for 48V systems, these devices provide world-class ASIL diagnostics, and diagnostic verification enabled with a fully compliant ISO 26262 process.

Provided in ultra-small packages, these devices are created to satisfy the rigorous demands of the automotive market by improving functionality while decreasing PCB footprint.
