Rutronik UK now stocks new durable and reliable charging connectors from Amphenol for one or three-phase electric vehicle charging. The Excel Mate C Type 2 charging plug provides power of approximately 43kW. One-phase or three-phase connectors are offered with a cable length of 5m each to fit different charging needs.
The Excel Mate CC is IEC 62196-2 compliant. With at least 10,000 mating cycles, it is extremely durable. Due to IP55, the plug is protected against dust and contact. Even light jets of water such as rain do not impact the charging performance. Operating temperatures from -30C to +50C are optimal for the connector.
Safe, uninterrupted charging is provided by the contact resistance of max 0.5MOhm, an insulation strength of over 100MOhm. The retention force to be applied of at least 100N are needed for the plugging process, while a maximum 100N is required to disconnect the connection to the electric car.
The M.2 2230 form factor modules are created for flexible system configuration and platform use by employing a standard Key-A or Key-E socket. M.2 1216 modules, on the other hand, provide a space-saving platform design.
