C&K has added two new compact tact switches to its exhaustive PTS Series product range. Excellent for portable electronics in an expansive range of markets, the new side-actuated PTS845 Series and PTS850 Series provide designers more options to tailor end-products. The rugged, low profile SMT switches are typically employed in portable devices including headsets, sports watches, Bluetooth accessories, black boxes, health monitoring devices, navigation and more.
The small PTS845 Series is just 4.5mm x 3.4mm x 3.3mm and is offered in three standard actuation forces to fulfil customer demands and simplify integration. The series is supplied in an 80gf version, a 160gf version and a 260gf version. Similarly, the low profile PTS850 Series is just 5.4mm x 5mm x 1.8mm and is offered in two standard actuation forces. The PTS850 is supplied in a 180gf version and a 350gf version.
"The new side-actuated PTS Series switches offer printed circuit board space savings in a reliable package. The switches address the growing need for small size, high quality and competitively priced switch solutions for large scale manufacturing," said Daisy Liu, global product manager at C&K.
The PTS845 and PTS850 Series provide optimum performance, with high reliability up to 100K cycles for the PTS845 and 50K cycles for the PTS850.
