High power relay combines proven technology with next-gen materials

The new Panasonic Industry 1FormA AQV209G PhotoMOS relay, available now from TTI Europe, is the breakthrough of high-power semiconductor switching. Combining proven technology with next-gen materials enables an unrivalled output rating of 1,200V at 0.75A continuously, both AC and DC load.

This indicates ten times higher switching capability than the previous generation – still provided in a small standard DIP6-pin housing, and possible by an outstanding low ON resistance of 1Ohm (Typ.).

The device can be employed as a future technology substitute for many reed relay applications or as a replacement for mercury-containing types, with benefits such as quiet, fast and bounce-free switching and an unlimited lifetime.

Typical applications include Industrial equipment, I/O modules, controls, measuring equipment, testing equipment, replacement of reed relays, and replacement mercury-containing relays.
