Micro connectors for use on waterproof coaxial cable assemblies

GradConn extends its range of assemblies highlighting MHF options to include the secure MHF 4L LK and MHF 5L micro connectors for using standard and Nautilus waterproof coaxial cable assemblies.

The MHF 4L LK connector is a tough option for customers where connection integrity is crucial. An integrated locking mechanism assures the connector is secured when mated onto the PCB connector, shielding from accidental disconnection due to bump, shock and vibration. It provides a compact footprint with a mated height of 2mm.

The patented locking plug design of the MHF 4L LK complements the MHF 4 and MHF 4L series. It has the same PCB mounted receptacles, making upgrades to a design an easy option, giving sufficient clearance is offered on the PCB to accommodate the latch mechanism.

MHF 5L is a micro Wire to PCB coaxial connector with a mated height of 1.3mm. It is one of the tiniest connectors in the range. It grows to be a connector selected in many new designs, profiting from simple mating properties and a low profile, excellent for compact devices.

Both options are offered over the company's standard and waterproof cable assembly range. When assembled with IP rated Nautilus connectors, the combination produces an impressive package for harsh environment applications where water and dust ingress prevention is a prime concern.
