Würth Elektronik has added to the WE-SHC series of shielding cabinets product range. These are claimed to be the first cabinets of their kind for automated population, optimised for high-frequency applications. They are totally enclosed with seamless corners, making them exceptionally effective. The tin-plated steel plate cabinets are offered in over 100 different dimensions. Customised or application-specific cabinet developments are also possible.
WE-SHC Seamless protects sensitive components, such as RF stages, oscillators, signal generators and sensitive ICs, from electromagnetic radiation. Würth Elektronik has developed the cabinets specifically geared toward IoT, 5G, IO-Link radio and GNSS applications. All versions are offered from stock with no minimum order quantity; free samples are available. The company also accepts requests for customised and application-specific cabinet solutions, which often opens up decisive design advantages in modern, highly miniaturised assemblies for communication applications.
