Hybrid connectors for sealed applications in harsh environments

TE Connectivity has launched its new AMPSEAL 16 mini lever 16 and 24 position hybrid connectors for sealed applications. The wire-to-wire connectors provide an IP6K7/IP6K9K rating to shield against water and dust, giving essential environmental protection for industries functioning in harsh environments.

Key features of the connectors include an ergonomic lever lock system, which affords ease of assembly, and an integrated TPA and CPA that guards against accidental unlocking and verifies precise contact position. The connectors also help reduce application costs and assembly time with a tool-less mounting design and 'drop and slide' mounting clips that are offered in three sizes.

For wire bundling and corrugated tubing, 90-degree and 180-degree wire dress covers can also be acquired alongside the AMPSEAL 16 mini lever connectors facilitating design flexibility. The connectors employ proven DEUTSCH stamped and formed size 12 and 20 pin and socket terminals and AMPSEAL 16 heavy-duty stamped and formed (HDSF) size 16 pin and socket terminals and are Mil-Standard C-39029 approved.
