Bulgin has increased its connector portfolio with the launch of the 9000 Series Buccaneer circular power connectors. The series comprises a range of high amperage flex body, flex in-line, and flange mount connectors rated to IP68, making them excellent for high current applications where easy connection and protection from high levels of dust and moisture are crucial.
The connectors are offered with either a bayonet, a quarter-turn locking mechanism for quick connector mating and release or a screw turn locking mechanism that delivers a secure, robust connection but is also simple to disconnect. For installer confidence, both versions are furnished with visual alignment features to provide correct mating and positive feedback on the locking mechanism to ensure that the connector is correctly mated and sealed.
Ideal for mains power to signal applications in multiple industrial environments, the connectors provide robust Delrin housings. They are offered as male and female, with a choice of two to 11 poles up to 225A, 1250VAC RMS as standard. 300+ AMP contacts are obtainable on request, and there is also a crimp termination option.
The IP68-rated, high amperage series expands the current Buccaneer range - which also incorporates compact, lightweight and explosion-proof circular power connectors – to provide customers with a comprehensive array of solutions for their power connection needs.
