WLAN+Bluetooth combo module ideal for size and power-sensitive applications

Murata Type 1YM WLAN+Bluetooth Combo Module, available now from Mouser, supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2x2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.2 BR/EDR/LE up to an 866Mbps PHY data rate on Wi-Fi and a 3Mbps PHY data rate on Bluetooth. The WLAN section supports PCIe v3.0 interfaces and has optional support for SDIO v3.0 and USB 3.0 interfaces. The Bluetooth section supports high-speed four-wire UART interfaces (optional support for USB/SDIO) and PCM for audio data.

The small, high-performance Type 1YM module is based on the NXP 88W8997 combo chipset, which uses enhanced collaborative coexistence hardware mechanisms and algorithms to ensure WLAN and Bluetooth collaboration is optimised for maximum performance. In IEEE 802.11ac mode, the WLAN operation supports rates of MCS0 to MSC9 (up to 256 QAM) in 20MHz, 40MHz, and 80MHz channels for data rates up to 866Mbps.

The module is supplied in an 11.8mm x 8.4mm x 1.3mm package. The small size makes it excellent for size and power-sensitive applications, including smart homes, gateways, the IoT, and much more.
