Impulse Embedded now suppliers Advantech’s EI-52, which expedites AIoT deployment, application development and remote device management. The system combines high-speed 11th generation Tiger Lake processing power with integrated software abilities and microservices architecture to reduce new product development and deployment times.
With the further expansion support for AI co-processors such as the Intel Movidius or super-fast 5G cellular connectivity, the solution is a flexible, intelligent Edge device ideal for various demanding AIoT applications.
The system is a compact, high-performance system offering Intel 11th Gen Core processors and supplied with a 64GB SSD and a choice of 8GB or 16GB DDR4 system memory installed. I/O features incorporate dual display output, dual Gigabit Ethernet, four USB3.0, two USB2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485, and four Antenna break out ports for wireless connectivity. For expansion, there are M.2 and MiniPCIe slots supporting a multitude of options incorporating the VEGA-330, a co-processor add-on card featuring Intel Movidius Myriad X VPUs, and the AIW-355 5G cellular module providing low latency, high-speed internet connections excellent for AIoT applications. The chassis is ultra-compact and fanless and incorporates a die-cast metal top plate assisting heat dissipation and assisting the system in achieving a wide-range operating temperature of 10C to +50C.
