Long-life tubular axial lead capacitors designed for commercial use

New Yorker Electronics has released the Barker Microfarads (BMI) 601D +105C Tubular Axial Lead Aluminum Capacitors. Although the series is utilised in commercial applications, it is the 601D capacitor series that is the commercial equivalent to the defence series M39018/03.

As a defence equivalent, these aluminium capacitors offer a wide temperature range of -55C to +105C and are Life Validation Test rated to 2,000 hours at +105C. In addition to its low ESR, the series is available in voltages ranging from 6.3VDC to 300VDC, working with DC surges from 8V to 350V. The standard capacitance tolerance is -10%/+50% and also provides a capacitance range of between 12µF and 33,000µF.

There are four types of sleeves offered in this series. The polyester sleeve is standard on this device; also a PVC sleeve. Both of these sleeves are also provided with an epoxy end seal. These seals are for devices exposed to halogenated cleaning solvents, such as when removing fluxes from circuit boards or degreasing tiny metal parts.

Case sizes range from 0.625" Ø x 1.125" L to 1" Ø x 3.625" L with 24 options in total. They are manufactured with USA-made aluminium and axial leads with No. 20 AWG at 0.032in or No. 18 AWG at 0.040in.
