Bulgin has added more products to its vast portfolio of RF connectors. Created to operate with coaxial cables already in employment in large-scale communication infrastructure, these connectors provide multi-GHz operation and display industry-leading transmission characteristics. They also profit from very low impedance levels of 50Ohm and have insulation resistance values greater than 5000MOhm to reduce the losses experienced.
The 1.85mm format connectors have M7 threads, with a frequency range that crosses through to 65GHz. There are the 2.4mm and 2.92mm connectors, which run mode-free up to 50GHz and 40GHz, respectively. These are complemented by N-Type connectors (a threaded coupling mechanism), TNC-compatible connectors, and compact high-precision SMA and SSMA connectors. RF terminations and connector adapters are also offered.
The robustness of these new connectors is a fundamental differentiator. This ensures their long-term reliability, even when they are used in uncompromising environments. They can cope with voltages reaching up to 1000V. An operational temperature range covering -65C to +165C is also supported.
Passivated stainless steel construction indicates that the connectors hold extremely high mechanical durability and provide prolonged operational lifespans. Plug or jack type contacts can be chosen. These contacts are constructed from beryllium copper alloy and have 20N retention. Either screw or bayonet locking mechanisms are offered, to maintain connector integrity.
