Linx Technologies has launched two compact whip-style antennas for the growing 450MHz band cellular equipment market. The ANT-450-RHR-SMA and ANT-450-RHS-SMA antennas offer right-angle and straight antenna versions for cellular and cellular IoT applications in the 450MHz to 470MHz range, including LTE bands 72, 73, and 31.
The low frequency of the 450MHz spectrum offers robust connectivity allowing wide coverage and deeper signal penetration through walls and other hard-to-reach areas. These characteristics make the 450MHz band ideal for LTE-M, NB-IoT, and smart devices that need reliable communication.
"The 450MHz LTE band provides an excellent opportunity for long-range performance for smart grid deployment or penetration of interferers in challenging environments like smart metering applications. Already a leader in 5G at 600MHz (band n71), Linx recognises the potential at 450MHz and is providing antennas to serve IoT devices and infrastructure equipment alike," said Linx CEO, Tolga Latif.
