The number of connected devices is proliferating. At the same time, customers expect an even better user experience in product design and functionality. This poses a significant challenge for RF engineers, as antenna design complexity is also increasing due to new features, performance demands and innovative form factors. In particular, the introduction of 5G brings further challenges as even more frequency bands must be covered in a limited space. All these factors potentially affect antenna performance.
Infineon Technologies AG is extending its portfolio of smallest, ready-to-use antenna tuners to support RF engineers. Based on years of RF expertise and technology development, the company has succeeded in further enhancing the efficiency of antennas. Therefore, following the market launch of the BGSA147ML10, it is now expanding its range of innovative antenna tuners with new antenna tuning switches. These devices are ideal for Sub-7.2GHz New Radio (NR) applications, supporting 4G and 5G in smartphones, wearables, VR headsets, notebooks, smart homes, and other cellular applications.
The antenna tuners are available in the 1.1mm x 1.5mm2 TSLP 10-pin package. BGSA14M2N10 comes in the 0.95mm x 1.3mm2 TSNP 10-pin package with 350μm pad pitch.
