Amphenol RF has expanded its miniature-sized TNC interface with an extra RP configuration. This straight cable mount RP-TNC plug is intended for the LMR-240 low loss cable and is engineered to satisfy all IP67 specifications in mated and unmated conditions. The connectors are excellent for industrial and defence applications, which demand a more robust, secure RF interconnect.
The new connector provides reliable electrical performance up to 6GHz while offering versatility in mating options with its secure, familiar threaded coupling mechanism. This ruggedised solution is built with a brass body and bullet contact and PTFE insulator components. The interface contact is constructed from gold-plated, beryllium copper to provide proper mating to standard RP-TNC jack connectors.
Waterproof IP67 rated products are sealed to stop water ingress in the case of temporary submersion. This enables TNC connectors to be used in applications where a system could be exposed to external weather-related elements. These connectors are part of a growing portfolio of IP67-rated products often used in outdoor applications due to their robust construction.
