New 600V super junction MOSFETs deliver class leading low ON resistance

ROHM has added seven new devices, the R60xxVNx series, to its PrestoMOS lineup of 600V Super Junction MOSFETs which stand out for the class leading low ON resistance and the industry’s fastest reverse recovery time (trr). The series is optimised for power circuits in industrial equipment needing high power, such as EV charging, servers, and base stations, as well as motor drives in white goods that are increasingly employing inverters to satisfy the trend towards better energy savings.

The new series adopts the latest proprietary processes to offer the industry’s fastest reverse recovery time while lowering ON resistance (which is in a trade-off relationship) by up to 20% compared to similar products.

In terms of reverse recovery time, the new MOSFETs inherit the breakthrough 105ns already provided by existing PrestoMOS products, making it achievable to decrease switching loss by approximately 17% compared to other solutions. With these two options the new devices improve efficiency in multiple applications.

At the same time, two even lower ON resistance models have been added to the R60xxYNx series of standard low ON resistance 600V Super Junction MOSFETs. This allows users to choose the best product based on application needs.
