Optical hybrid modules offer increased density and speed

TE Connectivity's NanoRF Optical Hybrid Modules, available now from Mouser, offer an 85GHz maximum rated frequency and 50-Ohm impedance rating.

These modules utilise a floating insert in the backplane with guide features that pre-align contacts before engaging, lessening the potential for damage. The modules offer high-density RF and optical connections within a common connector module for VPX-based embedded computer systems.

The modules are ideal for electronic defence, missile guidance, tactical communication, and radar applications.
