Securing systems in demanding environments with robust IP67 SMA connectors

Amphenol RF has expanded its SMA panel mount offerings with durable and compact front mount IP67 bulkhead jacks created to house various micro-coax cable types. These front mount jacks are engineered for 1.32mm and 1.37mm micro-coax cable types, frequently employed in designs with space constraints or requiring a high degree of flexibility. These connectors are ideal for industrial automation, kiosks and smart meter applications.

IP67 SMA panel mount jacks deliver excellent RF performance up to 7GHz and provide a threaded coupling mechanism for extra vibration resistance. The front mount bulkhead configuration supplies additional protection when it is attached to the inside of the panel or enclosure. The micro-coax cable can also stabilise electrical characteristics even if bent while continuing to deliver thermal resistance.

These SMA bulkhead jacks join a growing portfolio of IP67, and non-IP67 RF interconnects currently available as standard solutions. These connectors offer low return and insertion loss and are obtainable in a straight configuration to complement most industry-standard cable types.
