Wall-mount enclosures now available in custom sizes

Metcase’s Datamet enclosures for indoor wall-mount electronics are now offered in custom lengths, widths, and depths due to their smart front bezel design.

These tough, stylish aluminium enclosures are perfect for applications including security, control systems, machine control, factory processing, measurement and detection.

They offer complete access to the electronics throughout installation and servicing. Unscrewing the front panel and bezel exposes the screws connecting the U-shaped top section, which can then be readily removed. After access, the top can then be reinstalled – securing the bezel, which is recessed to guard controls.

The L-shaped rear/base section fixed to the wall has holes for installing PCBs and internal mounting plates. Cable glands and connectors may be mounted to the underside. Inside, there are four M4 earth studs. All fixings are provided with the case.

The enclosure is offered in three standard sizes from 250mm x 180mm x 116.5mm to 400mm x 300mm x 116.5mm. The standard colours are light grey (RAL 7035)/window grey (RAL 7040) and black (RAL 9005). On-demand, all dimensions can be altered to serve the customer’s specific needs. Special colours and combinations are also offered on request.

Accessories comprise front panels, fixing screws and a PCB mounting kit. Additional customising options include custom front panels, CNC machining, fixings and inserts, painting and finishing, and photo-quality digital printing of graphics, legends, and logos.
