Converter designed to fulfil medium and heavy-duty eMobility requirements

Bel Fuse Inc offers a new addition to its eMobility line, the BCV200-700-8 power conversion unit. The Combo Unit System combines a 15kW bidirectional inverter-charger, a 4kW 12V down converter, and a 1kW 24V down converter, making a reliable and compact all-in-one solution able to meet the higher-voltage requirements of the e-mobility industry.

The device is the latest entry for the series of all-in-one power converters created to accommodate newer, higher-voltage batteries. As EV solutions dominate off-road, marine, and industrial markets, the demand for power conversion solutions that bring higher efficiency and reliability increases.

This liquid-cooled power conversion system supports between 450VDC and 850VDC battery packs. The device is IP67 and IP6K9K compliant, has an SAE J1939 serial CAN bus interface, and meets SAE J1455 environmental standards.

The device develops possibilities for eMobility with excellent dynamic response to load/input changes, low total harmonic distortion (AC), and low output voltage noise (DC) increases, making this all-in-one power converter excellent for deployment in rugged EVs.
