Titanium efficiency adjustable output power supply added to portfolio

Bel Fuse Inc has expanded its portfolio to include the TET3600-48-104RA. This 3.6kW titanium efficient AC/DC front-end power supply converts up to 277VAC into a main adjustable (42-58VDC) output for powering high-performance datacentre, network, industrial and broadcast applications.

The device supplies a power density of 56W/in3 and provides titanium efficiency (>97% efficient at 50% load) in a compact package measuring 104mm x 40mm x 256mm (4.09" x 1.57" x 10.08"). The power supply employs resonant soft-switching techniques and synchronous rectification to lower component stresses and deliver industry-leading efficiency and increased system reliability. It also has a DC input voltage range of 240-380VDC. An active OR-ing device on the output provides no reverse load current and renders the supply ideal for operation in redundant power systems. These hot-swappable power supplies may be connected with up to six units in parallel with active digital current sharing. An always-on +12V 30W standby output is also provided.

The device provides system communications through I2C/power management bus protocol or CAN, permitting full monitoring and limited control of the supply, current, voltages, power and temperature. Multiple protections, including overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature, are standard and fault captured as required through an onboard Blackbox. These power supplies meet international safety standards, display the CE-Mark for the European LVD, and have patents pending.
