Weald Electronics provides high-performance interconnection solutions based on MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-5015 and MIL-DTL-26482 specifications. It manufactures a very wide range of circular bayonet and screw coupling connectors, offered in a choice of materials and finishes. These high-performance connectors and accessories are widely used in defence, industrial, mining, offshore and motorsport applications.

Key product ranges include:

The LMH is a miniature bayonet-lock connector manufactured to BS9522 F0017, BS/CECC 75201-003, and meets the requirements of MIL-DTL-26482 Series 1 defence specification (Solder Terminations). The series can be supplied in nine shell sizes and 25 shell styles.

The LMJ and MG are screw-coupling and reverse-bayonet coupling circular connectors created to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-5015 defence specifications. They feature aluminium alloy shells, which can be supplied in 13 sizes. They include a neoprene insert capable of housing between 1-104 solder or crimp contacts.

LMV mains power connectors are manufactured in accordance with BS CECC 75201-004, which conforms to the safety requirements of BS EN 60950 for safe use in mains applications and CE-marked equipment. Available in two shell sizes, they are ideal for direct three-way mains connections in 250V AC or DC applications.

LMG connectors are manufactured to BS 9522 F0014 and available in aluminium shells with a fine thread coupling or brass shells with a coarse thread coupling. These IP67-rated connectors feature medium to low-density contact arrangements housing one to 26 solder contacts in three shell sizes. They are designed for DC and low-frequency applications with current ratings from 3A to 60A.

A choice of shell sizes, styles, plug-and-socket contact types, and contact arrangements increases the versatility of these circular connectors.

In addition to circular connectors, the company manufactures PCB Edge Card connectors, two-part PCB connectors and subminiature plastic-bodied circular connectors.

The company manufactures a range of accessories to complete any interconnection solution. These include protective caps and backshells, as well as specially developed protective caps, nutplates, and gaskets for use across motorsport.

The company's sealing and strain relief backshells have been designed for MIL-DTL-26482 Series 1 and MIL-DTL-38999 (D38999) Series III and IV connector systems. Known as the LMA19 series, the backshells protect the cable and the integrity of the overall connection. They eradicate cable bending and over-flexing, and when used with a heat shrink boot, they prevent the ingress of liquids and dirt.
