Mouser now stocks Phoenix Contact's PSRmodular XC safety modules. These modules reduce machine downtimes with comprehensive and easy-to-understand diagnostics. Suited for use in harsh environments, they provide faster resolution of safety incidents in process industry and maritime machinery applications.

The safety modules meet stringent safety standards for reliable performance in various industrial settings. The modules are TÜV, UL, and CSA certified and have several advanced approvals in preparation, including ATEX zone 2, heat treatment (EN 746, EN 298, and EN 50156), and UL Class 1, Div. 2. The safety modules operate effectively in a temperature range of -10C to +70C and feature corrosion protection with additional conformal coating on the PCB.

The configurable small-scale controllers can monitor multiple safety functions within a single application. The modules can also be easily adapted to satisfy increased input/output port needs, making them a versatile solution for expanding industrial needs. If there are not enough I/Os, the system can be extended on a modular basis with up to 18 safety-related extension modules. The extra modules are simply connected to the base module via the DIN rail connector. This supplies extra I/Os for connecting more sensors and actuators. The safety modules can be easily configured using the PSRmodular software, needing no programming skills. Users can set up the safety logic graphically with a drag-and-drop interface.
