Mouser now stocks Microchip Technology's PIC32CK 32-bit MCUs. This new family of mid-range MCUs delivers a cost-effective way for developers to design applications that meet strict cybersecurity requirements. The MCUs combine connectivity, performance, and industry-leading security options for IoT, automotive, and communications applications.
The MCU family includes the PIC32CK SG and PIC32CK GC MCUs. Featuring a 120MHz Arm Cortex-M33 core, the 32-bit MCUs deliver up to 2MB of flash memory and 512KB of SRAM. Connectivity options include 10/100 Ethernet, high-speed USB, full-speed USB, CAN FD, and configurable serial communications for easy integration into wearables and sensor hubs, digital audio devices, IoT nodes, and more. The family's analog support features include a 32-channel peripheral touch controller and 12-bit ADC with sampling rates of up to three million samples per second.
The PIC32CK SG MCU is ideal for demanding industrial and medical applications, providing advanced key management, fast cryptographic operations, and authentication. The device's integrated Hardware Security Module (HSM) subsystem – with a dedicated CPU, memory, secure DMA controllers, cryptographic accelerators, and firewalled communications – forms a secure enclave for boot processes, software updates and running trusted applications. Secure partitioning, enabled by TrustZone technology, provides an extra layer of protection for critical software functions.
The 32-bit MCU family is supported by the PIC32CK SG (EV33A17A) and PIC32CK GC (EV33A17A) Curiosity Ultra development boards. These boards supply a hardware platform to accelerate the development process for MCU designs. They include an onboard debugger, an Arduino Uno R3-compatible interface, a motor control interface, and an Xplained Pro extension-compatible interface.
