Cyntec showcases its latest advancements in automotive power, signal, and resistive current sensing solutions at electronica 2024. The company's stand will display SMD chokes, high-power magnetics, and shunt modules that improve vehicle functional capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency. Cyntec is at the forefront of this evolution, delivering innovative hardware solutions that empower its customers to achieve sustainability and performance goals.
"The rapid growth of Software-Defined Vehicles drives significant changes in this area, as automotive manufacturers seek to expand vehicle capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency. By integrating Cyntec's innovative solutions into ECU applications, OBC, DC-DC, traction inverters and BMS systems, our automotive customers can enjoy benefits such as improved power efficiency and signal conditioning, even enabling faster charging and extended battery range for e-Mobility applications", said Christian Gellmann, automotive segment business manager, Cyntec EMEA. "Using our expertise and leading position in designing magnetic and passive components with advanced electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal simulation tools, Cyntec enables efficient power conversion, size and weight reductions and accurate current sensing while adhering to AEC-Q and extended reliability standards".
In its product demonstration area, the company will reveal its latest advancements, including an AC/DC filter for traction inverters and a new state-of-the-art EMI filter for traction. Using insulated over-moulding technology, this filter offers a 35% reduction in size and 30% in weight. This compact design is perfect for EVs and EMI-shielding purposes.
With the company's ultra-dense moulding core, where the whole choke area contributes to magnetics properties, this PFC choke lowers system size and weight. It also has the advantage of uniform temperature distribution. This component can be employed for 800V/ 22kW onboard charger applications.
