TTI IP&E – Europe now stocks FN3287 and FN3288 series compact EMC/RFI filters for inverter and power drive systems in robotics, machinery and machine tool applications. Schaffner, part of TE Connectivity, manufactures the filters.
“The adoption of new technologies like AI is helping manufacturers improve productivity, safety, and process speed. However, it also creates new requirements for machines, process controls, and related component technology,” says Markus Lorenz, director of Industry Marketing at TTI Europe. “The industrial robotics market is expected to grow at an annual rate (CAGR 2024-2028) of 2.83%, reaching a market volume of US$10.41bn by 2028. At TTI Europe, we supply these filters to support electronics engineers and designers in developing smart factory automation systems. This helps manufacturers advance their plants, enhance performance, and operate more efficiently.”
The series of compact three-phase filters from 10A to 230A delivers state-of-the-art EMI attenuation based on an innovative filter topology. The slim design allows for convenient and space-saving installation next to inverters, converters or motor drives, and includes connection terminals within the filter cubical. The filters enable compliance with the EMC directive and improve a customer’s system safety, stability and reliability.
FN3288HV filters up to 230A are also available for 690VAC distribution networks, and low leakage current EMI filter versions C17/C21 are available with leakage currents of 0.1mA and 0.4mA. These help to fulfil tough requirements with respect to leakage current limitations.
The EMC/RFI filters have been specially designed for motor drives, power drive systems, and many other power converter applications. They are optimised to best serve the requirements of machine tools and machinery equipment. All filter models are UL, CSA and ENEC approved and CE, UKCA and RoHS compliant.
