Same Sky’s Thermal Management Group has added thermoelectric generator (TEG) modules to its product portfolio. Using the temperature difference between the hot and cold of the module to generate usable power, these thermoelectric generators deliver output power from 5.4W up to 21.6W in packages from 30mm x 30mm to 56mm x 56mm with profiles as low as 3.5mm. They are ideal for use in applications where waste heat is present, like industrial processes, to recover energy that would otherwise be lost.
These TEG modules feature silicone sealing, continuous maximum hot side temperatures up to 300C, and graphite pad options for a simplified thermal interface. The models also carry open circuit voltages from 8VDC to 17.7VDC and AC resistance from 0.2-Ohm up to 4.2-Ohm measured at 27C and 1000Hz.
The SPG models are available immediately. For helpful resources and tools on thermal management, check out the company’s Resource Library, which houses a range of blog posts, videos, and more.
