PCIe 5.0 connectors offer high current capabilities in space-constrained applications

Mouser now offers the Micro-Fit+ PCIe 5.0 connectors from Molex. The connectors supply hybrid power and signal integration in a compact design, making them excellent for high-current, space-constrained applications in the automotive, medical, consumer, telecommunications and networking industries.

The connectors fully comply with the latest PCIe CEM 5.0/6.0 specifications and safely support devices requiring AIC of up to 675W. The PCIe connectors support 9.5A per pin across 12 energised power pins and four sideband signal pins. Their durable design, which features fully isolated cavities to protect the terminals from damage, is supported by high-performance materials such as high-current copper alloy, liquid crystal polymer, tin plating and phosphorous bronze.

With the fifth generation PCIe delivering data transfer rates of up to 32GT/s, approximately double that of the previous generation, Micro-Fit+ PCIe 5.0 connectors operate with a low-level 5mOhm power terminal and 20mOhm signal terminal contact resistance. Positive locking and low thumb hatch operation ensure secure mating and retention for reliable performance and safety. Also, the connectors offer the modularity needed for flexible system implementation and adaptation.
