Agreement enhances battery management solutions

Arrow Electronics has announced a distribution agreement with Dukosi Ltd, Scotland-based innovator in battery monitoring technology, for advanced battery management systems that cater to the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions.

Dukosi's technology streamlines battery management systems by employing contactless communication for monitoring and optimising battery systems. This approach simplifies the architecture of battery systems, improves safety by reducing the risk of short circuits, and enables accurate and granular data analysis at cell level.

Unlike conventional battery management systems using complex wiring harnesses, Dukosi’s Cell Monitoring System operates via a decentralised system that transmits cell data synchronously with deterministic latency through secure and reliable contactless communication. The system monitors and records essential data of each battery cell individually, permitting for more efficient control, extended service life, and sustainable use of battery systems.

This technology is particularly advantageous for applications such as EVs, which contribute to improved range and safety, and for stationary energy storage, permitting for a more efficient use of battery systems.
