Amphenol RF's new SMA to SMA plugs on RG-188 coaxial cable in straight and right-angle orientations offer engineers new configurations to support their project design aspirations.

Amphenol RF has introduced the new SMA to SMA plug RG-188 cable assembly into its extensive cable assembly portfolio. The white coloured RG-188 coaxial cable provides flexibility and performance, making them ideal for high-frequency signal transmission in space-constrained areas. RG-188 cable resists temperatures of up to 205C, is pliable and has increased shielding effectiveness compared to other cable types. Straight-to-straight, right-angle to right-angle, and right-angle to straight plug configurations are obtainable, ensuring compatibility for any design need. They can be ordered in lengths of 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36", and 1m or 2m. The SMA to SMA RG-188 cable assembly is ideal for applications such as wireless communication systems, aerospace and defence, industrial automation and autonomous mining.

The straight and right-angle SMA plug connectors feature gold-plated machined brass components, permitting for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The contact pins of the SMA plugs are constructed from gold-plated machined brass, ensuring constant and reliable conductivity. The RG-188 coaxial cable of these assemblies features a PTFE dielectric and a protective silver-plated copper shield.

These cable assemblies deliver top-of-the-line performance of up to 3GHz on every configuration. They join a robust and comprehensive offering of SMA cable assemblies as off-the-shelf solutions.
