Pre-configured SMPM cable assemblies offer flexibility in high frequency applications

Amphenol RF has expanded its cable assembly portfolio with new cable assemblies engineered with straight SMPM plug connectors on compact 0.047" cable. SMPM connectors provide reliable, high-frequency performance in a compact package and are designed to accommodate radial and axial misalignment. Together with the flexible capabilities of the cable, this assembly is excellent for board-to-board, quantum computing, and medical applications that need high reliability.

These cable assemblies operate up to 18GHz with a generous minimum bend radius of 0.05". The cable is engineered to be a versatile micro-coaxial cable for designs requiring a high-density solution. The cable's flexibility provides easy routing, assisted by the push-on coupling mechanism of the SMPM plug connectors for easy mating and unmating, making these assemblies exceptionally versatile. They are available in standard lengths starting at 3" and complement any RF design. Custom lengths are available upon request.

These cable assemblies add to a robust portfolio of pre-configured SMPM options developed to accommodate various cable types. These cable assemblies are a good fit for applications exposed to shock and vibration, such as instrumentation equipment and aerospace and defence applications, where commercial off-the-shelf products are appropriate.
