TT Electronics has launched the TEAD360 series of 360W AC power adapters. Based on GaN technology, the new ultra-efficient adapter series is the smallest, lightest, coolest and fastest desktop power charging product available.

“The new TEAD360 GaN technology power supplies series exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of power technology. Bringing together the efficiency of GaN and our robust power supply design capabilities, the TEAD360 is a powerful, compact, and extremely efficient solution that meets the needs of today’s high-demand electronics. Moreover, the reliable and efficient power source significantly outperforms traditional silicon-based power adapters,” says Dr Adam Royles, global product development director at TT Electronics.

Weighing just 950g (2.09lb) and measuring 170mm (6.69”) x 84mm (3.31”) x 31.5mm (1.24”) (LxWxH), the adapters supply 360W of continuous power with an efficiency of up to 95%. Accepting a nominal input range of 90VAC to 264VAC, the adapters provide a wide range of output voltages, from 12VDC to 56VDC, fulfilling the requirements of various high-power demand applications, including industrial equipment, security systems, digital signage and audio-visual equipment.

The series is offered in either Class I or Class II (double-insulated, no ground connection required) configurations and complies with multiple global standards to protect against electric shock. The adapters are available with IEC 320 C14, C6, C18, or C8 inlets to accommodate different AC power cords. As standard, the DC output features the popular six-pin Molex mini-fit connector; however, other connectors are available upon request.

All models meet the highest DOE Level VI efficiency needs for global use, with no-load power consumption below 0.5W. The active PFC function ensures maximum power efficiency, even under full-load conditions. Standard protection features cover short-circuit, overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature conditions.

The TEAD360 series meets the FCC Part 15 regulation requirements for multimedia equipment (MME), complying with the EN55032/CISPR32 standard for Class B conducted and radiated emissions and the EN55035/CISPR25 immunity standard. Further, it complies with the UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 safety standard.
