Mouser now stocks the XBee development boards from SparkFun. Designed to work with the XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT and XBee 3 Global LTE GNSS Cat 1 smart modems by Digi, these development boards allow designers to swiftly integrate cutting-edge LTE cellular into their devices and applications, eradicating the time-consuming and expensive FCC and carrier end-device certification process.
The development boards are created to help users quickly and easily prototype low-power cellular IoT applications using the new XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT and XBee 3 Global LTE GNSS Cat 1 smart modems available from Mouser. These boards break out all the functionality of the XBee modules and supply the ability to connect to the cellular network and GNSS.
The development boards include Qwiic connectors for I2C-capable sensors and peripherals, allowing users to develop connected sensor applications quickly. Most boards also include USB Type-C connectors for UART communication and firmware updates. While the development boards are specifically designed for the smart modem modules, they are also backwards compatible with most previous through-hole Digi XBee modules.
Digi Remote Manager enables users to configure and control devices easily from a central platform. Built-in Digi TrustFence security, identity, and data privacy features employ multiple control layers to protect against new and evolving cyber threats. Standard XBee API frames and AT commands, MicroPython, and XCTU simplify setup, configuration, testing and adding or changing functionality.
Also available is the SparkFun KIT-24441 Digi XBee kit, which comprises an XBee development board, the XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT smart modem, a humidity sensor breakout board, an LTE wide band flex antenna, and a Hologram eUICC SIM card.
