Lane Electronics has signed a new Franchise Agreement with Cinch Connectivity to distribute the FIBRECO range of expanded beam fibre-optic connectors across the UK and Europe.
These expanded beam connectors and cable assemblies provide high-performance, flexible, cost-effective solutions to critical harsh environment communication applications, including aerospace, defence, offshore, mining, security, outside broadcast and other industrial applications. The company will service existing UK FIBRECO customers and create new business utilising in-house connector stock, value-added cable assemblies and back-to-back supply from the FIBRECO facility where needed.
The product range incorporates expanded beam cable assemblies that use connectors such as Fibreco Junior, Mini and Senior and D38999, as well as Stratos HMA connectors.
Nick Wheeler, sales director of Lane Electronics, says, “This addition to our product portfolio will enhance our fibre-optic and harsh environment connector offering, adding value to a broad range of our existing and new customers with access to another prestige and globally recognised manufacturer.”
Keeley Jefferies, European distribution manager of Cinch Connectivity Solutions, says, “Cinch is the market leading manufacturer of fibre optic expanded beam connectivity and partnering with Lane Electronics with our Fibreco product range gives our customers a wide availability of our product portfolio with short turnaround times, and the ability to service small to large volume requirements.”
The company offers a wide standard connector range and can work with customers to create bespoke connectors in large and small production volumes. Projects undertaken include super heavy-duty connectors for Oil and Gas drilling applications, wet-mate expanded beam inserts for sub-sea connectors, hermetically sealed expanded beam connectors for Mil-Aero applications and hybrid electrical/optical connectors for Naval ballistics applications.
