Laser diode ideal for use in LiDAR applications

II-VI Coherent ST905A13 Laser Diode, available now from Mouser, is developed to offer a high peak optical output power of 95W (typical) and provides a wavelength of 905nm. This laser diode is constructed with a highly reliable triple-junction epitaxial structure and with an emitting area of 200μm x 10μm. The diode provides a short pulse operation of up to 100ns with a 0.1% duty cycle.

This laser diode is ideal as a source for next-generation LiDAR applications in automotive, industrial, and consumer fields. The device is RoHS-compliant and comes in a TO-56 metal can package.

The diodes has a 40A (max) operating current and operating temperature range of -40C to 85C.

Typical application areas include industrial and consumer LIDAR, range finding in industrial and consumer, surveillance and safety, and automotive (no AEC-Q qualification applied).
