Mouser now offers the WSEN-ISDS six-axis IMU from Würth Elektronik. The WSEN-ISDS IMU is a 16-bit digital ultra-low power and high-performance sensor featuring a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis s gyroscope, with selectable measuring ranges and data rates. This versatile motion sensor facilitates integration, with output and processed data pre-calibrated, for application-specific functionalities like localisation and navigation for automation, robotics, drones, industrial tools, machines, antenna, platform stabilisation and IIoT devices.
The six-axis IMU includes free-fall, wake-up, tap, activity, motion, tilt, and orientation detection functionalities, featuring linear and angular acceleration measurement, extending from single-event registration to high-frequency continuous vibration monitoring. User-selectable acceleration measurement ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, ±16g and an angular rate range of ±125dps, ±250dps, ±500dps, ±1000dps, ±2000dps enhance design versatility. Selectable data rates up to 937Hz for the gyroscope and up to 1400Hz for the accelerometer, with a built-in FIFO buffer to store the output data rate up to 6.6kHz, further improving flexibility in the design process. The sensor offers ultra-small dimensions (2.5mm × 3mm × 0.86mm), an embedded temperature sensor and is available in an LGA package.
The WSEN-EVAL evaluation board supplies the opportunity to verify the sensor performance and develop fast prototyping utilising an extension board. This evaluation board is designed to use either the Sensor Shield for Arduino (2501000101291) or the Sensor FeatherWing (2501000201291). The board can also be mounted on a breadboard utilising through-hole pin header connections.
