Panasonic Systems and Solutions, a division of Panasonic Industry Europe, will provide comprehensive solutions for laboratory automation at the EuroMedLab 2023. It will display a wide portfolio of sensors and automation components for laboratory diagnostic devices and total workflow automation.
The company will showcase a variety of sensors for clinical analysis, such as highly reliable optical bubble sensors, that can detect unwanted air bubbles that could provoke errors in liquid handling. These new sensors, like the FDBEF series, were developed for larger diameter tubes.
The latest development is the BE-C14 compact convergent reflective sensor that can detect blood collection tubes and tube holders in a range of 2mm up to 8mm. With a thickness of just 3.5mm, the sensor is extremely compact and ready for industrial use.
The company's micro-photoelectric sensors offer precise control over sample flow throughout sample vessel transportation and can be readily implemented due to the compact size.
Employing analog and contactless measurement capabilities, its laser sensors can accurately determine liquid levels and verify the presence, conformity, and proper positioning of caps and other moving samples.
The company provides the world's smallest sensors to offer flexibility in laboratory equipment setup, including ultra-compact ionisers that effectively neutralise static charges in testing vessels. This stops electrostatically charged particles from sticking together and prevents liquid drops from sticking to test tubes' top edges or sidewalls. Leak detection sensors are also offered to enhance safety and aid smooth operation by detecting possible spills of washing or reagent liquids.
