Fairview Microwave has released a new series of waveguide power amplifiers developed to cover high mm-wave frequency bands from 26.5GHz to 96GHz.

This range of waveguide power amplifiers provides outstanding performance and adaptability to manage the demands of a broad range of sectors, including SATCOM, radar, wireless infrastructure, 5G and more.

These advanced waveguide power amplifiers utilise state-of-the-art GaAs and GaN MMIC semiconductor techniques, ensuring outstanding efficiency in a space-efficient package.

Providing gain levels from 25dB to 35dB and output Psat levels extending from 20dBm to 31dBm, these amplifiers offer top-notch performance via the popular Ka, Q, U, V, E and W bands.

The company's waveguide power amplifiers are intended to tolerate demanding conditions, including sturdy, compact, MIL-grade, gold-plated aluminium waveguide enclosures. They operate in temperatures from -40F to +176F (-40C to +80C) and can withstand exposure to 95% relative humidity and altitudes up to 10,000'.

These amplifiers are excellent for various applications, including satellite communications, research and development, prototype/proof of concept, test and measurement applications, and airborne and ground-based uses.

"These new waveguide power amplifiers allow our customers to exploit the potential of high mm-wave frequencies for their diverse applications. We are confident they will significantly benefit industries requiring high-performance communication and networking systems," said Tim Galla, product line manager.
