Mouser now stocks the FGH100M Wi-Fi HaLow module from Quectel. The module provides Sub-1GHz long-range wireless data transmission for indoor and outdoor IoT applications, with low power consumption and ten times the range of traditional Wi-Fi for industrial automation, mobile devices, smart agriculture, smart cities, smart buildings, PoS applications and more.

The module uses the IEEE 802.11ah wireless networking protocol, also known as Wi-Fi HaLow, to operate in the license-exempt Sub-1GHz range between 850MHz to 950MHz to improve the unique needs of IoT applications by extending smart networks with 1/2/4/or 8MHz channel width, 21dBm maximum output power, encryption algorithms, and a 32.5Mbps theoretical maximum transmission rate. The device's signal coverage allows users to control IoT devices in a radius of up to 1km.

The module's ultra-compact size (13mm x 13mm x 2.2mm) optimises end-product size and design cost while fully meeting the needs of size-sensitive applications, with a durable and robust surface-mount LGA package to provide reliable connectivity and easy embedding into size-constrained applications. The device's wide -30C to +85C operating temperature range and interfaces (including UART, SPI, I2C, SDIO 2.0, and PWM) make it an effortless choice for the most demanding IoT applications.
